San Antonio Nature School
Nature School provides enrichment in a caring, loving home environment. We took the best ideas of Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia teaching philosophies and produced a program that provides a creative environment in a place where children enjoy most - HOME! Summer activities are for children ages 5-10, after school child care is for children ages 6-12. San Antonio Nature School is located off Nacogdoches Rd. and Loop 410.

2020-2021--Before and/or After School Child Care - Woodridge Elementary (AHISD)
Three openings for after school child care from Woodridge Elementary in AHISD. This will be our sixth year and three of our 5th graders will be moving on to the Alamo Heights Junior School next year, unfortunately they are aging out of the program. We know they will come for visits and we will welcome them with open arms. If you know someone who would like to be in a small group of six children for after school child care, please message or call and we will fill you in on the details. The San Antonio Nature School is licensed and meets all requirements for home child care. On our last inspection we were accurate at a 100%. Services include transportation, snacks, art classes and field trips.

Philosophy. Curriculum. Bio.
San Antonio Nature School – for children ages 6-12 – opened May 26, 2015, and will be available for before school care, after-school care, Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break and four weeks in the summer.
Our educational philosophy at San Antonio Nature School is as follows: We believe that children feel safe and enjoy being in a home environment. We value long periods of uninterrupted exploratory play for the development of maximum creativity and confidence. Children will spend several hours outside daily and be given choices of activities to engage all of their senses.
Our curriculum is creative, hands-on and artistic. Our classroom will not be constrained by walls, but rather we will get "out of the box" and into the wild! Best of all, we value a mixed-age classroom to encourage peer mentorship and the development of leadership skills. San Antonio Nature School is perfect for school-age children and homeschool students who are looking for enrichment outside of their own home environments.
San Antonio Nature School has been inspected and is registered with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. The last inspection in 2018 received a 100% rating, a perfect score.
